Deacon's Offering: The Deacon’s fund is used by the deacons to assist people in need, both within and outside New Life’s community. A special offering will be taken for this fund on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, Dec. 1st. Please prayerfully consider giving, above and beyond your giving to the general fund, at that time.
Christianity Explored Class: This class begins on Sunday, October 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and continues for 7 sessions. Dinner and discussion at the Swanson’s home (55 Blueberry Lane, Red Lion) will be offered for those wanting to know more about Jesus. Please prayerfully consider inviting friends, and please consider joining a team that will invite others.
Samaritan's Purse Shoeboxes: Please bring your packed Samaritan's purse shoeboxes to New Life by Sunday, November 17th. If you need to purchase a shoebox, the cost is $2.50. You may either print your label and pay for shipping yourself ($9 online); or give Connie Kay $9 for the shipping cost and she will print it for you.
Christmas at New Life:
Winter Book Club: The women’s winter book club will be reading, “God’s Hostage” by Andrew Brunson. Women may sign up if they wish to purchase a printed copy and the order will be placed mid-November. As usual, we will meet in late February or early March to share a meal and discuss the book. Please feel free to bring friends!

VBS Director: The VBS Planning Committee is looking for a director for next summer’s VBS. Also, 1-2 more planning committee members would be welcomed. Please see Bud Palmer for further information.
Turkey Kick: All adults and youth (5th grade and up) are invited to the 3rd Annual Turkey Kick on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 24th. Meet at Freysville Park at 2:00 for an hour of flag football and an hour of soccer.
New to the Community? If you are new to New Life, whether you’ve been attending for one week or one year, you're invited to a community dinner at the Grim’s home at 5:30 PM on Saturday, January 11th. The purpose of this dinner is to provide new folks an opportunity to connect with others in a relaxed, informal environment. While not necessary, an RSVP to the church office would be helpful.
Short-Term Missions Trip Possibility: If you are interested in the possibility of a short- term missions trip to Spain, please meet in one of the fishbowl rooms after worship on Sunday, November 24th.
Thursday Morning "Mom's Group" Bible Study: Meets 9:30-11:30 am. Childcare and snacks provided. E-mail Joy Swanson (email@example.com) for details. We are studying “Counterfeit Gods” by Timothy Keller.
Women's Fall Bible Study: Prayer, An Adventure with God. Prayers from the Old Testament Abraham, Moses, Nehemiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Hannah and David; along with prayers from the New Testament- Paul, Mary and Jesus will be studied. Class meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm and will continue for 12 weeks from Sept. 4 to Nov. 20. All New Life women and their friends are invited! The book is $8.00; the signup sheet is located on the Fellowship Hall information table.
Men's Group: Meets the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 7:00-8:30 am at the Cracker Barrel. We are studying spiritual warfare. Men are welcome to bring sons age 11 and above. Contact Rob Rothermel for information.
Bible Study Fellowship: Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) begins September 12. This is a non-denominational ministry that offers an in-depth, 30-week structured study of the Bible. New Life hosts a satellite BSF study group on Thursdays from 6:55-8:30 pm, sponsored by the BSF base class in Baltimore. BSF will study Acts. You may enroll by contacting Joe Heidler (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the Baltimore Class Administrator, Hersch Wellman (email@example.com).
